I'm sure that there are many detailed specifications and qualifications about how competitors are classified for the Special Olympics. The organizers must have to try very hard to match people who have the same basic level of handicaps.
So a big part of the case would rest on such facts. In mixed races I've observed, they let the wheelchair competitors go out first, because the best of them can beat the times of racers who run on foot.
There is probably a good case here for the plaintiff. The teacher could have let Andy compete, and then could have sorted out the results based on his official handicap status. Mr. Mistafit's reasons for saying Andy "was not qualified", "his participation would be unfair to others", and "he wanted his scores to be objective" would need to be heard and knocked down one by one, in order for the mock trial court to find for Andy and his parents.

Here's an idea…why don't you try to learn something about marketing. That way you will understand how smart your competitors were to put themselves in a position to gain such recognition.
Just about every type of business on the planet has to deal with competitors who make an inferior product but are getting all the sales. They deal with it by becoming savvy marketers.
If you can prove your superiority..then I'd say your in a real good position to overtake your competition easily with some aggressive marketing to help get the word out.
You may be superior with the "Product" , but they are better than you at marketing and PR than you, right now, and apparently its allowing them to kick your butt.
So…you get better at them in that game, and you will ultimately win because you DO have the better product.
