There is so much misinformation out there that many people just don't know how to properly participate in this sport. This makes it twice as hard for us women because there is absolutely nothing out there for women to study. I've been doing this for almost a decade now and I've learned a lot in that time. I thought I'd save you some training by giving you the chance to evaluate your chances of success. The winners in this sport are the ones that are determined. If you need instant gratifications, this sport isn't for you.

I find the best thing you can do to get better results is to eat smaller meals about every 3hrs. There is a simple reason for this and it has to do with the flow of nutrients. Your body repairs muscle tissue all day long and eating three meals a day leaves a significant amount of time where the body is unable to repair properly. By eating more often, your body is always in the position to build muscle.

You're going to need to have more sleep. Most people are only getting about 5-6hrs a night and that just doesn't cut it for this sport. When you're at the gym you're effectively destroying parts of your body so they'll grow back bigger. Most of this rebuilding occurs while you sleep, so if you're not getting a full 9hrs, than your results will suffer.
