I’ve been bodybuilding for about 6 months now and I’m not sure how much protein I should be taking. Some people say about 30 grams a day and others say 1 gram / lb of weight.
I’m 6′3″, 220 lbs with about 18% body fat (and going down).
The other thing is when I should be taking the protein? I do take the protein shortly after a workout session, but do I need to take more protein on the off days as well?

I have participated to bodybuilding competition in 2007 and won number two in the trial states. Will I be able to deduct the training related expenses for tax deduction?
If I could, what other related expenses that I could deduct (such as vitamin, etc)? This competition is not professional, it is for amateur.
Bodymakers: A Cultural Anatomy of WomenÆs BodyBuilding Product Description Women with muscles are a recent phenomenon, so recent that, while generating a good deal of interest, both positive and negative, their importance to the cultural landscape has yet to be acknowledged. This newness, along with the ways in which muscular women challenge traditional ideas that associate women with physical weakness and incompetence, femininity with diminution and childishness, and the female body with softness, has led to a widely held belief, both inside bodybuilding circles and without, that the cultural implications of female bodybuilding are limited to a small subculture. Leslie Heywood looks at the sport and image of female bodybuilding as a metaphor for how women fare in our current political and cultural climate. Drawing on contemporary feminist and cultural theory as well as her own involvement in the sport, she argues that the movement in women’s bodybuilding from small, delicate bodies to large powerful ones and back again is directly connected to progress and backlash within the abortion debate, the ongoing struggle for race and gender equality, and the struggle to define “feminism” in the context of the nineties. She discusses female bodybuilding as activism, as an often effective response to abuse, race and masculinity in bodybuilding, and the contradictory ways that photographers treat female body builders. “Bodymakers” also reveals how female body builders find themselves both trapped and empowered by their sport. Ever wonder this? Obviously anorexia nervosa is a recognized mentaldisorder that can lead to death. But, why isn’textremebodybuilding? You know where men take steroids and looking so unaturally buff and extremely unhealthy. I mean obviously anorexia nervosa and exteme bodybuilding are caused by emotional, biological, and environmental factors. But I just don’t understand why extremebodybuildingisn’tconsidered a mentaldisorder? Is it because you don’t have a chance of dying, unlike anorexia?
Ok, So i’m currently working on losing some body fat, then i’m going to focus on building up my body a little for a more toned look. I’ve changed my diet already to a low fat diet, but I was wondering what is the best way to prepare eggs and keep all of the vitamins and protein. I know Rocky style is probably the best but i don’t think I could handle that lol, plus I don’t want salmonella.
Any other Tips are greatly appreciated!
